Hello everyone!
The talented touring girls departed from Cape Town international airport at around 18:00! We all left extremely excited and got to say goodbye to our family with singing "Die Alibama" and our national anthem just before we headed through the gates. To be honest, we all felt like celebrities with our parents and others taking videos or photos.
Everyone was looking forward to getting on the plane and heading to the beginning of the adventure we've been waiting for! We also got to celebrate a touring choir members birthday, Clara Macheke! As you can imagine, lots of "happy birthdays" were sung.
The day seemed to be an endless waiting process. Waiting to check in, waiting to get to our gate, waiting to get into the aeroplane and then waiting to take off!
The realness of our tour was settling in!
